Excuse me for not addressing this situation sooner – I’ve had my hands full between the hunt for Cobra Commander and the end of the goddamn world. With GEN Colton critically injured, Hawk called back to Washington for political BS, and Duke on a mission so secret even I don’t even know where he is, you Captains are going to have to step up and take some leadership responsibility during this command vacuum.
Concerning Circuit Breaker and Scarlett – Our communications channel is secure for a reason and Scarlett or any other Joe has every right to ask non-military personnel to stop using our should-be-encrypted signal for their own use. That said, with the world situation as it is right now, we can’t afford to turn down offers of aid and early warnings – even if the source occasionally has a history of dangerous mental illness.
With that in mind, I’m authorizing certain high-level members of Autobot Command and communications team to use our channels to coordinate activities with us and warn us of actions by our enemies. If you hear any abuse of this privilege, bring it up to me immediately and I’ll take it right to Prime. The stakes are too high right now for any monkey business on either side.
Ideally we need a joint command to organize military operations between our forces and our alien allies. Maybe I’ll stoop to nepotism and sic my daughter on the project – she’s an unemployed communications major and could use something to do besides sitting on my couch babysitting her little brother. In the meantime I’ll return to the Pit and deal with Circuit Breaker personally.
As for the rest of you – Slipstream, I want you to coordinate with Silverbolt and do what you can to keep Cobra from finding their Commander before we do and stop the Decepticons from entering our airspace to set off any more devices or collect any more energy. Lifeline, work with the Autobot Stormwind to coordinate search and rescue operations in response to Decepticon-caused “natural" disasters.
Finally, Sci-Fi – I want you to talk to Sky Lynx or Wheeljack and see what we can find out about that Decepticon warship heading rapidly towards Earth. We may have to get Payload involved and see about launching the Crusader to intercept. I know you’ve been itching to get back into space. This might be your chance. Report back whatever you can find out as quickly as possible.
