Sector 18 contains Tyrest, a Decepticon-controlled city-state that borders Kalis to the east. To the northeast is Iacon, in close enough striking distance to make Tyrest an important Decepticon holding – one of their only major bases in Cybertron’s northern hemisphere. Located in Tyrest is the Jekka Amphitheatre, once home to the State Games. With the destruction of Polyhex, Tyrest temporarily became the new Decepticon headquarters on Cybertron, and the Jekka Amphitheatre was rebuilt to house the Decepticon army and fugitive civilians. Even after the move of DHQ to Tarn, Tyrest remains an important Decepticon outpost on Cybertron.

- The Jekka Amphitheatre, once home to the State Games.
Until 2012, Cyclonus ruled most of Cybertron from Darkmount. However, at the end of 2012 the Dweller invaded Polyhex, and most of the remaining Decepticon forces on Cybertron retreated to Tarn and Tyrest.
In 2013, with communication disruptions between Cybertron and Earth due to the Quintesson invasion, most of the forces relocated to Earth. There was a small force in Polyhex to protect construction efforts, and a small force in Tyrest guarding Cyclonus, who Starscream had arrested. Most of the troops have been since been reassigned to Tarn, leaving the Jekka Amphitheatre to once again host fights between champions and slaves.
When the Jekka Amphitheatre was reopened by an alliance between the Decepticons and the alien Zabra, Hooligan spent his days killing scores of weak, helpless Autobots and other prisoners in front of a paying audience.
