The G.I. Joe Team's resident shrink is someone you can talk to about your problems. Exactly someone to which you might just spill your deepest secrets. The truth is the counselor himself has a few creepy secrets. Psych-Out graduated from Berkeley with a specialty in the effects of ultra-low frequency sound waves affecting the human mind. That work got him into the Deceptive Warfare Center before being assigned to the G.I. Joe team.
However, wave-induced behavior modification devices aren't the only way he can manipulate people. His level of thinking is uncanny that he is able to out-think and out maneuver the enemy. He often does it by confusing the enemy by seemingly endlessly deciding between two courses of actions but he has made his decision long before.

Psych-Out joined the Joes in 1987.
MUX History:[]
Psych-Out is a reserve member of the Joes, and is available as an interrogator and psychiatrist as needed. Surprisingly, Deadline makes appointments with him on a fairly regular basis, but only to get access to the really good experimental drugs Psych-Out makes in his lab.

Psych-Out has been promoted to Captain on the MUX. In the Shattered Glass universe, Psych-out is the developer of the Brainwave Scanner, and current commander of Tiger Force.

"I definitely have some ideas for what to do with the brothers Witwicky. I have some new techniques I've beendying to try out, and I'm pretty sure I'll be able to elicit the maximum of pain without accidentally liquifying their brains.
"Since we have a pair of brothers, perhaps we can experiment with different techniques on different brothers and see who gets the best results. And fret not -- Santa Rich has something special to put under your tree this year.
