FLARE was one of Cybertron's most decorated, most battle-tested Decepticons in history, and he had the scars to prove it. Cold, hard, and unbending, many a decepticon warrior has been put through his or her paces by this iron-fisted legend. Even after he retired from active combat duty, he still packed more than a little punch. FLARE was one of the original test designs for the triplechanger module. In robot mode, carried twin laser pistols and could fire incendiary missiles from shoulder-mounted receptacles or jets of superheated napalm from his palms. In helicopter mode, could travel at speeds of up to 800 MPH, and fired napalm, incendiary rockets, and licks of flame from forward-mounted flamethrowers. In tank mode, he was equipped with triangular-headed ram-prow, and a barrage of weaponry from flamethrowers to artillery shells. Prone to breakdown due to age, FLARE was still fanatically loyal to the empire to the end, and a strict instructor that only accepted the best.
