Firestar
Saving a life is worth the risk.

With the ability to quite literally drive into the heart of a fire, FIRESTAR is perfectly suited for search & rescue operations. With her standard laser sidearm and specially-modified fireman's energy axe, Firestar can quickly pull survivors out of dangerous situations. She is aided in these operations by an infrared energy sensor that allows her to quickly locate trapped comrades, and a high-powered surgical laser that enables her to cut free anyone trapped by fallen debris. When needed to, Firestar can also start fires of almost surgical detail with her internal plasma generators. In her altmode, a Cybertronian transport, her cargo area is large enough to carry out wounded or incapacitated comrades. When not on hazardous duty, Firestar finds truest friends in others open to risk. Her desire for action often puts her at odds with her commanders, as she tends to disobey orders and stray from her assigned tasks.

She is one of the members of Elita One's Autobot resistance and specialized in rescue missions. Practical and unprepossessing, she is nonetheless particularly useful during thefts of Decepticon Energon cubes, as her vehicle mode is capable of transporting large numbers of them.

Firestar is a close friend of Inferno and Chromia.

History[]

Cartoon canon[]

Four million years ago, Firestar tried to board the Ark, while it was being attacked, with the rest of Elita One's team. The plan failed though, and she and the others appeared to be destroyed.

Millions of years later, in the early 1980s, Firestar participated in a raid on one of Shockwave's energon supply stores, and fell under attack when the group was discovered thanks to Moonracer's carelessness. They managed to escape and the team returned to their hidden base with the stolen energon.

The Decepticons attacked again, however. Trying to capture Elita One, Rumble caused the Female Autobots' underground base to collapse, with most of them in it. They survived and managed to free themselves some time later. In search for their leader, they met up with a team of Earth-stationed Autobots who had come looking for their commander. Firestar was briefly reunited with her friend Inferno and together they helped fight off the Decepticons the Earth-stationed Autobots had gotten themselves in a fight with. She remained on Cybertron with the rest of Elita One's team when Optimus's team returned to Earth.

MUX History:[]

Firestar is currently on Cybertron, assisting Elita One. She accompanied Elita One Cybertron in order to help protect Alpha Trion while he investigated evidence that the Temple of Knowledge had been found and breached. Entering the Temple, the Autobots discovered a hidden portal to the Shattered Glass universe. Passing through the rift, the Autobots encountered Shattered Glass Cyclonus, Professor Razorclaw, and Commander Starscream. The Autobots offered to help the Decepticons against the evil Autobots from that universe, as well as their invasion by mad Junkions led by Ultra Magnus.

The Autobots were attacked by Captain-Mal aboard the pirate ship V'ger, with the help of Razorclaw was able to drive off Mal's crew and capture his ship. Once Chromia had scanned the ship for obvious traps, the V'Ger was boarded by Dust Devil, Firestar, Krunix, Stormwind, and Typhoon. Typhoon moved Longsight to the brig, while Dust Devil took command of the bridge and Stormwind discovered Aria cowering in engineering. After much coaxing by Blizzard and Stormwind, Aria came out of hiding, and eventually agreed to assist the Autobots in maintaining the ship for them. Dust Devil promised Aria the ship would be turned over to her command after the Autobots were through using it. When Blizzard examined one of Aria's little "assistants," she discovered it contained the core of Laserbeak, who begged Blizzard to end its existence. Instead, Blizzard built Laserbeak a new body from parts left around the V'Ger.

Firestar was on the V'ger when it crashed in Kaon.

In March of 2012, Alpha Trion successffully tracked the Old One to his back, where the evil sage was waiting. Backed up by his henchman Blitzkrieg, the Old One attacked Alpha Trion with his Terminus Blade, critically injuring him before being driven back by Dust Devil and Firestar. Face shattered by Dust Devil's Ebon Blade, the Old One retreated with Blitzkrieg's aid, leaving the Terminus Blade behind.

Needing a scan of the Old One's Stellar Spanner in order to build a machine to close the rifts between the Shattered Glass universe and his own, Alpha Trion conceived a plan to lure the Old One out of Iacon and send in Chromia and Firestar to infiltrate the Autobot base. Using fake IDs programmed by Alpha Trion, the femmes were able to slip easily past Autobot guards Flattop and Subsea and venture into the city. After some minor run-ins with some additional SG-Autobot guards, Firestar and Chromia were able to successfully scan Old One's Stellar Spanner and return the schematics back to Alpha Trion.

When Chromia and Firestar returned with the scans, they brought a mortally injured Frenzy (SG) with them. Chromia vowed his death would be avenged, but Frenzy stressed his wish to have no more bloodshed. Though Alpha Trion wasn't able to heal Frenzy's injuries, he was able to alleviate the pain he suffered from his injuries, and as a result, Frenzy died a peaceful death, surrounded by a new group of Autobot friends with Chromia was comforting him. Using the information brought back by the Autobot femmes, Alpha Trion isolated himself to work on a device to close the rifts, while Dust Devil worked with Trailbreaker to set up defensive installations in the temple.

Ultra Magnus discovered that the Terminus Blade was being held in the Temple of Knowledge, and hatched a plan to destroy Cybertron. After sending a warning to Jetfire to tell Optimus that Cybertron was about to be destroyed, Magnus teleported into the temple with the use of one of Wheeljack's Stellar spanners. Magnus attempted to kill Alpha Trion, but Trailbreaker defended Trion from the attack with one of his forcefields. Tracks was dispatched to stop Blaster, and was able to drive Blaster back and burn out one of his optics. Wreck-Gar focused on acquiring the Terminus Blade from Dust Devil, and brought back several Autobots from the dead to use as his minions. Wreck-Gar and his Junkions, however, were kept at bay by Firestar's fire. Magnus attempted to use a doomsday device to destroy Cybertron, but before Wheeljack was able to complete the device Dust Devil preemptively activated it with the Terminus Blade. Magnus attempted to escape with the Terminus Blade before the doomsday device detonated, but Trailbreaker tossed it through the Wheeljack's portal before it closed. It is unknown if Magnus and his troops survived the detonation.

Dust Devil survived his near-fatal attempt to destroy the doomsday device, but lost the sword to Magnus. Alpha Trion, Benin-Jeri, and Firestar repaired Dust Devil's wounds enough to keep him alive, but Trion's assessment is that Dust Devil will need to be completely rebuilt as soon as they get back to Iacon, as his injures are so deep that he may not survive another armed conflict.

On May 1st of 2015 (Earth reckoning) The Female Autobots attacked the roadway from Helex to Stanix. During the fight it was so badly damaged by the fighting and acid rain that the Decepticons will likely have to use the Helex/Stanix tunnel to move shipments from Fort Scyk to Castle Decepticon.

In 2017 she helped defend Iacon against an assault by Trypticon.

Jul 18 - Tagan Heights Investigation[]

Decoded Decepticon transmissions and analysis lead us to some strange energy readings in the Tagan Heights. Elita One lead a team of most of her personal unit - myself, Chromia, Moonracer, Greenlight, and with Twidget, Blaster, Nightstalker, and Patcher joining us. When we arrived at the area we engaged in scans and located a freshly drilled shaft that was artificial in nature. The ground gave out at this point and Patcher fell in but was recovered. Blaster and Chromia stayed to help Patcher while Blaster maintained radio communication with the team in the tunnel.

Inside the tunnel, we swept through the underground noting unusually high energy signatures, despite the area being considered inactive. Investigating if the nova forges underground that served as blast furnaces had come online, we came upon a large partially intact Omega Sentinel cranial dome.

Unfortunately, it had an Insecticon Hive in it. The hive was probably feral in nature. This lead to a heavily running firefight underground where Twidget and NIghtstalker hurriedly built an EMP to disorient the hive and recovered some data packets from the sentinel dome. The tunnel also collapsed at this point as Dust Devil came to reinforce.

Dust Devil and Elita One were able to slow the collapse of the tunnel long enough for most of us to evacuate but Elita and Moonracer were buried. Starlock arrived with a medevac unit and Elita and Moonracer were dug out. All personnel suffered moderate to heavy damage but came through intact. THe data retrieved from the Omega Sentinel was also taken intact and was taken by Greenlight for analysis. Also some cerebral units from the Insecticons were recovered in case there is any salvageable information. The tunnel area and collapse is partially mapped so an excavation team might be able to drill furthe runderneath to see if there is anything salvageable from the industrial complex or the Omega Sentinel dome. It is unknown if there are more threats in the area but given the age of the installation there were no traps located by the team. There is the possibility of further Insecticons present however so whether the dispatch of another recovery team is feasible is left to the cal fo command.

All personnel accounted for and evacuated to Iacon for repair and debriefing.

  • July 20 - "Hydrax Recon" - The Autobots do a fast recon of the Decepticon-controlled Hydrax Spaceport, and leave behind some surprises.

July 25 - "Traitor or Slave"[]

Nightstalker chances upon Ravage on a long-range patrol.

Aug 11 - Hydrax Plateau Raid[]

A patrol lead by Lancer that included Twidget and I of the Con held spaceport at Hydrax located a wrecked Con shuttle that the Decepticons were engaging in salvage operations on. Myself and Lancer engaged the defending Decepticons, Valour and Blockade while Twidget snuck aboard the shuttle under the distraction. Twidget stripped the computer transponder and cargo manifest which have been passed along to Operations for analysis. Twidget then initiated a core breach of the shuttle's engines, detonating it and inflicting further damage to the area and possibly to Valour who seemed caught up in the explosion. Using the explosion as cover, patrol retreated.

Aug 22 - Typhoon Recovery[]

The shuttle Lancer-2 was missing, apparently taken by Typhoon (of the Weatherbots) and crashed in the Ibex Plateau loaded with energon. Springer tracked her there where Typhoon was panicking and stating again and again 'He's coming'. Springer calmed her down and she allowed to do a quick medical scan. She was brought to Iacon Medical Center.

Lancer-2 and its energon are being evaluated by Red Alert and Imager to see if they can be recovered and salvaged. They will post a report on the matter as able.

August 22 - "Frozen Find"[]

Joes uncover a frozen mostly dead Cybertronian in Alaska and ask for help. A random assortment of helpers arrive.

Aug 30 - Typhoon and Ratchet[]

To: Medical, Operations
Subject: Typhoon and Ratchet

Message: Having performed an analysis of the energon readings from Ratchet and Typhoon, they are very similar. Both are storing up energon but not processing it at all, leaving both of them in a continued state of what humans might call fugue. Typhoon appears to be emotionally stable for the moment and confused, with no immediate idea as to what might have caused her disorientation beyond noting it did not seem like her either.

The symptoms for Ratchet started almost immediately after the failure of his ground bridge experiment and have continued since.

Typhoon has no idea where the other Weatherbots are. Hurricane, Mesocyclone, and Stormwind are all MIA. With communications and space bridge disruption on Earth, their current status may have changed drastically or other members of the team might be gone. I would request a courier be sent to investigate, but understand that this may not be possible and of a lower priority.

From Earth records pre-communications disruption, there does not seem to be an immediate physical relationship between space bridge usage and the missing Weatherbots or correlation beyond all of the team but Stormwind having used it. But given the large numbers of personnel going to and from by space bridge, this may have no meaning.

Reports indicate that Mesocyclone and Hurricane further stole a shuttle loaded with energon before their vanishing. Requesting technical analysis for confirmation of medical readings from Ratchet and Typhoon comparing them to pre and post checking experimences and space bridge usage. As well as requesting Wheeljack follow up on analysing what information he got from his experiment with the ground bridge and for a xenoarchaeologist to investigate Dust Devil's debrief of his experience mid-portal ASAP.

August 31 - "All Sorts of Problems"[]

The Medical Center is starting to fill up again.

Sep 29 - Rescue Operation[]

Report: Recovery of Upshot

During an infiltration operation of the Hydrax Plateau Spaceport, Upshot stayed behind to cover the infiltration team and went to ground. The Decepticons had been pursuing him as far as we could tell and a recovery team was sent in.

Lead by Dust Devil, the team consisted of Sludge, myself, and Moonracer. We ran into a Decepticon patrol of the 151st Battalion on patrol. We got into a skirmish with them and located Upshot. We also engaged Astrotrain and a rotor-con called Arachnae. Upshot was located, and the team disengaged before Seeker reinforcements arrived.

Oct 04 - Manganese Mountains Patrol[]

Subj: Manganese Mountains Patrol

Msg: A patrol team lead by Dust Devil consisting of myself and Dawnfire were going through the Manganese Mountains. Reports of increased Decepticon activity in the area has lead to more thorough sweeps. While there we were joined by a Junkion (Phase-Ar) and encountered Starscream as a melee began. While being observed by a Dominicon (Illarion), Starscream was joined by a Destron (Esmeral). Myself and Dawnfire were heavily damaged in the exchange while Phase-Ar took moderate damage.

Starscream engaged in a cluster bomb run which included bomb clusters nearly striking Esmeral and Illarion. At that point Esmeral withdrew and Illarion opened fire on Starscream, who withdrew shortly after. Team was evacuated after battle by Twidget on shuttle with Starlock, authorized by Springer, to come and help evacuate team back to Iacon.

Nov 17 - Weatherbots Recovered[]

The previously missing Weatherbots (Hurricane, Mesocyclone, Stormwind) were noted arriving at Autobot City. Heading towards Teletran-II, Grimlock, Dust Devil, and myself went to intercept them. There was a melee where Dust Devil's force fields allowed for them to be slowed sufficiently for Grimlock to.. Sorry Metroplex.. And for them to be administered the anti-viral regimen. All are under a state of monitoring and treatment at Autobot City.

Dec 04 - Hydrax Spaceport Raid[]

To: General Report
Subj: Hydrax Spaceport Raid

Msg: Hydrax Spaceport was targeted for a quick raid with the primary goal of retrieving the seized shuttle V'Ger that was at the Spaceport. The raid consisted of a decoy attack aimed at the defenses and the garrison, the 501st (Megatron's Fist) unit. Elita One lead the attack on the garrison while a small infiltration team went to retrieve the shuttle.

Lead by Dust Devil, with myself and some others and Slag for heavy muscle using the cover of the attack. Unfortunately Megatron himself arrived on the scene and engaged Elita, badly damaging her in the exchange. Dust Devil was able to take the shuttle while the infiltration team scrambled as Megatron's Fist and a Decepticon tanker (designate: Blockade) noticed the retrieval team and went to engage.

Dust Devil was able to get the V'Ger mobile and achieve liftoff while a retreat was called for. The Decepticons were left in control of the field, with only minor casualties at best to the defenses, which held thoroughly. A great deal of munitions, energon, and equipment was expended in the attack but the shuttle was successfully retrieved. Three Autobots were killed in the frontal assault, one by Megatron and two by the Decepticon tanker. Damage to the defenses and infrastructure was likely of a minor nature and should be fixed in short order and the garrison will be on full alert.

The primary goal of the operation can be considered a success with the retrieval of the V'Ger. Attacking units fell back to rendezvous point, engaged in field repairs, and then fell back to base for debriefing. While few casualties there were a great many injured who were medevaced.

Dec 18 - Addendum Request[]

Given the status of Nova Cronum as a neutral, unaffiliated city and the convoy one carrying supplies of energon and spare parts rather than combat material, I would urge Command to consider passing along a warning to all city states of the Decepticon use of radioactive munitions along civilian supply routes. And that they should take countermeasures to ensure that there is no risk and to be ready to handle decontamination procedures. Given this is a likely infringement upon the territory of the unaligned states and the use of banned materials, perhaps a complaint can be made as well to the proper authorities at the discretion of command.

Dec 20 - Tri-Torus Patrol[]

To: General Report
Subj: Tri-Torus Patrol

Msg: A routine sweep of the Tri-Torus region (area between neutral city-states) had myself and Bumblebee encountering Ghost (Decepticon Field Intelligence). Bumblebee noted a small drone accompanying her that had been dispatched. Bumblebee remarked it seemed like a cassette.

We then broke up, Bumblebee going to scout ahead to see what a reason might be for a Decepticon intelligence unit to be sweeping the Tri-Torus region and to get passive observational scans on the dispatched cassette unit. It started to pursue me, whereupon I went evasive. It matched me move for move, and it kept in seeming tight coordination with Ghost, whom was in an observational/overwatch position. After some evasion where the cassette matched me move for move, Ghost seemed to recall the unit and both sides disengaged, myself to return to normal patrol route.
