Switch Gears can handle anything that has tracks or bogie wheels, especially if it comes equipped with reactive armor and lots of offensive hardware. Although armored vehicles are his main thing, he has no reservations about slipping out of the escape hatch to find out what the opposition is up to. Although he is a qualified expert with Assault Rifles and Heavy Machine Guns, he would just as soon go one-on-one with his bare knuckles. Solidly build, immense strong, and blessed with an extremely high pain tolerance (He always refuses Novacain at the Dentist), he makes a formidable opponent no matter what the choice of weaponry. The concept of giving up is totally alien to him.

U.S. Army Sergeant Jerome T. Jivoin was born in Bogota, Colombia, to American parents. He is a reserve member of the team.

MUX History:[]

Switch Gears served the reinstated G.I. Joe team as armored vehicle driver and an intelligence field operative. He was known to disguise himself as a Cobra agent to gather intelligence on the enemy. Like many Joes, Switch Gears served as a reserve member of G.I. Joe.

In 2013, Switch Gears was brought back out of the reserves and assigned to the G.I. Joe motorpool.
