Cybertronium is a quantum metal, useless by itself (only found on Cybertron-like planets, and possibly artificially created by the Quintessons), that, when alloyed with other metals, creates the dimensional storage space useful for transformations — extra supplies, components, weaponry, or the like. The Dinobots were created without this metal, which may explain their huge humanoid bodies.
