If there are exceptional people, Airwave must be one of them. He believes in the search for solutions to problems, not in limitations of equipment. Once, when his team's radio was destroyed, he readjusted a broken phone's circuitry to call in artillery to a precise location. Thus, his teammates call him the master of improvisation.
History[]
Pre-MUX continuity[]
U.S. Army Master Sergeant Cliff Vincent Mewett was born in Louisville, Kentucky. He worked with the G.I. Joe team before it was shut down in 1994, as audible frequency specialist of the Sky Patrol. He also served as Signal Corps adjutant to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was not only skilled with operating radio communications equipment, but could build a radio out of spare parts with ease.
MUX continuity[]
In 2016, Airwave was assigned to the new Pit III's communications team.
In 2022, Airwave was made head of that team and assigned by Flint to improve communications with Nebulos. Later, Airwave was assigned to Star Brigade as well.
